| Level 10 - Tribulations 1. You start here. There's an Artefact of Fury right outside the lift door here, but don't be tempted by it as it won't really do you that wmuch good by itself - save it for a little later. 2. Now you should have learnt by now that throwing switches can have all kinds of effects ... if I were you, I'd throw it, and run! You'll soon see why :) 3. How to get past the fireballs to the next area? See the Artefact of Invulnerability behind the stone column here? Run in through the fireballs and grab it! Sure, you may cop a little bit of damage in doing so, but it will give you safe passage through the fireballs to the alcove at the end of the corridor where you'll find a switch to turn the fireballs off. Oh, and before doing this, you may want to grab that Artefact of Fury near the elevator from where you started the level from, as this, combined with the invulnerability, will mean you can tackle the enemies guarding the blood key without being hurt, and without using ammo. One knife stab will finish 'em off - absolute power!!! But watch that timer, as you'll only have 30 seconds tops to do the dirty work! 4. The blood key! 5. Next it's on to this area in a grand castle hall. Clear out all the enemies and have a good look around for other things worth grabbing, then it's on to point 6. 6. Navigate your way through this zig zagging group of rooms, watching out for the clones taking potshots at you as you go. 7. Some generous supplies of ammo here ... you have no excuse for running out of ammo in this game! 8. The bronze key! 9. Make your way back to this point where the bronze key will now allow access. 10. A room full of rocket turrets and explosive barrels! There's a few ways to get through here ... firstly you can just run through to the door at the far end and avoid the turrets altogether. Or, you can try taking out the turrets with your weapon - dicey, and wasteful of ammo. Or, you can try shooting one of the explosive barrels and let the subsequent explosion take care of the rest. Or ... you can be smart, and throw the wall switch located behind a broken stone column here - problem solved!!! How nice of them to put a fireball shooting wall device there! 11. The gold key! 12. This secret pushwall conceals a shortcut path to the area sealed off by the doors requiring the gold key. It also leads to a series of other secret pushwalls that lead to some other interesting things ... 13. The elevator key! 14. And in the secret area here, you'll find a wall switch ... go on, throw it ... it's the first step to accessing the next secret level! 15. Ahah! So that's what the remote switch at point 14 did - it opened a remote pushwall here! Stock up on ammo, and open the door ... 3 Ultraclones await you!!! And remember, brains will always beat brawn - so don't stand there like a goof and take these 3 on - back off, and start those fireballs going by throwing the switch at point 10! And should one of the 3 get through, then lure him to the fireball passage near where you started the level, and toast him there. You should be able to beat these 3 monstrosities without even firing a single shot! Once they're gone, use the elevator key to access the elevator at the end, and on to the third secret level you'll go! 16. If you don't want to take on the secret level (or you're just afraid of the big bad Ultraclones), then take the elevator exit here to level 11. |
