| Level 12 - Vault of Death 1. You start here. As with level 11, the exit elevator is right nearby, so your mission is to retrieve the elevator key. 2. Here's the bronze key ... mind you there's a nasty piece of experimental cyber technology looking on as you open the door here to grab the key. He'll walk into an Artefact of Displacement and you may wonder where he's gone to ... don't wonder for too long though as he'll soon be standing right behind you waiting to fill you with lead! In other words, run! 3. The bronze key allows access to this area, and this is where you'll find the blood key and some handy portable medkits for those occasions where you're cornered and need a bit of a boost. Make sure you've dealt with the Cyber Trooper before going on to step 4 though, as you don't want that pest running around bothering you! 4. The blood key will allow access to this area, and here you'll find an important wall switch that you must throw to allow access to where the gold key is stored. But, just as before, there's a Cyber Trooper watching you here ... same advice as before, run! You did destroy the first one, didn't you? What??? You didn't??? Well, now you have two of them to worry about - I told you to get rid of the first one, but you didn't listen!!! 5. The gold key! The switch at step 4 makes this area accessible, and now with the gold key you can grab that MCS Mk 3 nearby. Don't forget the hidden MCS Mk4 off the same room - very handy for those errant cyber pests! 6. The gold key will allow access to this area where you'll find another very important switch to throw. This switch will allow access to the elevator key. But once again, another Cyber Trooper is watching!!! Errr, you did get rid of the other two, didn't you? 7. The elevator key (and don't forget the handy rocket launcher nearby too)! You have a choice now ... you can run for the exit elevator and forget the Cyber Trooper, or you can stay and fight ... there's a lot of goodies to be discovered still after all! 8. Navigate your way through this series of pushwalls. You may even have to push one wall twice to get to the best stuff! (And what's a dunny doing in here?!! Write it off to poor design ethics :) You'll soon find you can access the areas where the Cyber Troopers started from, and collect some valuable trinkets and ammo in doing so. 9. And now the best secret ... a secret elevator! This will take you to the second Challenge level ... are you sure you want to try? You'll have to sacrifice all your ammo and weapon goodies should you do so (and there's always a coward's exit elevator at the start of a Challenge level should you find the going too tough), but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? 10. Coward!!! So you're too afraid to try the Challenge level? Go on then you big baby! Level 13 awaits!!! |
