Level 27 - Deja Vu 3

This is the first secret level in the game, accessed from the secret lift found in level 2. And why is it named "Deja Vu"? Well, it's designed to make you think you're in a place you've been somewhere before, when in fact you'll be somewhere completely different! And why Deja Vu 3? Well, there's two reasons for that. Firstly, there are 3 areas in this level all designed to look the same. And secondly, the first Deja Vu level was in my mod "Wolfendoom", and the second one was in "Spear Resurrection". This is the third and in my opinion the most confusing of the three :)
1. You start here. Just outside the lift door you'll see a storage room behind some windows, and if you look through these windows carefully, you may even see the blood key in there. The first seed of a cunning deception has been sown!
2. Work your way through to here, and throw this wall switch in this little "switch room." You'll notice the locked door near here (at point 19) requires the blood key - didn't you just see the blood key before in that storage room near the lift? The wall switch you've just thrown didn't seem to have any nearby effect - maybe it opens up this storage room? Better go back to check ...
3. Ahah! So that's what the switch did!!! It opened a section of wall revealing an Artefact of Displacement!!! Get ready to hop in! And stop to think a while - the area you're about to leave is about to become a secret area! In other words, you won't be able to return here unless you access some other secret areas first.
4. After jumping into the Artefact of Displacement, you'll find yourself in the storage room with the blood key!!! But wait! Is this really the same storage room you saw before??? It looks the same ... in fact it looks identical. And that's to fool you into thinking you're in the same place! Grab the blood key, break the stone column, and push the pushwall just behind it to get out into the room with the lift. It's a totally different location but you'll swear you've just been here  - deja vu!
5. Once you open this door you'll realise you ain't in the same place as before. A number of angry SS will greet you, and once you've eliminated them, you'll find you won't be able to explore much further (other than a few prison cells) without getting the bronze key, as the locked doors in this area need precisely that.
6. Well, there's really only one way to go, and that's to try the Artefact of Displacement again. Maybe it'll take you back to the area you started this level from and to where the locked door requiring the blood key was?
7. Hmmm ... everything looks just the same as where you've just come from!!! The broken stone column, the pushwall you moved earlier ... you've just left this area! Or so it seems ... by this time confusion should be setting in! You are in fact once again in yet a completely new area, but you're being led down the garden path!
8. A lot of people wouldn't think to check the elevator here for a pushwall, especially if they checked the elevators in the previous areas and found nothing. At this point you may be more preoccupied with finding out just where in blazes you really are, but, if you think to check here, then there's a nice rocket launcher to be found, plus some other pushwalls that lead to an Artefact of Invulnerability, plus also the initial area you started this level on! And if you have that blood key, you'll now be able to open the locked door at point 19!
9. When you open the door here you'll know you're in a new area for certain, as a pesky rocket turret (and a few guards) will be waiting for you.
10. The bronze key, but how do you get back to the area you were in before where the locked doors needing the bronze key were? Simple - just jump into the Artefact of Displacement near point 7, and you'll find yourself back at point 4.
11. Make your way to here - the most confusing parts of this level have now been completed.
12. Here's your first chance in the game to try the combined power of an Artefact of Invulnerability and an Artefact of Fury, and earn a few extra points as you do so! When you grab these two Artefacts, a group of enemies will descend on you from down the corridor - go out and face them head on without a fear in the world, and see what one knife stab can do when you're all souped up like this!
13. This hidden switch opens the pushwall near point 20, making a number of valuable treasure goodies accessible.
14. The gold key. Just be warned though - when you go to grab it, it'll alert a number of nearby SS who'll be wanting to take the key off you.
15. A few treasure goodies in the SS lair, plus a hidden gold key should you somehow get stuck in this room before you retrieved the other gold key.
16. Make your way back to this point, and use the gold key to open the door here (alternatively you could enter the same area from the other end via the locked doors near point 9).
17. The elevator key is hidden in this small storage room within the prison complex.
18. The exit elevator! Congratulations - first secret level completed! On to level 3!
19. Of course if you haven't already done so, use the blood key to open the door here and grab the goodies within ...
20. ... and whilst grabbing the goodies in the previous step, grab the extra nice goodies here (you did throw that wall switch at point 13 didn't you?)
