| Level 8 - Powder Keg 1. You start here. 2. You die here. Unless you run like hell when you throw that switch on the wall that is!!! Didn't your mummy tell you that throwing switches when you're in a room full of explosive barrels isn't a good idea? Of course you could try shooting one of the barrels if you wish to get past them ... just don't try to buy life insurance off me if you plan to do so! So, do what you must, and throw the switch, but make your way back IMMEDIATELY to where you started the level. Wait a few seconds, and then come back and have a look at all the pretty fire :) 3. Ahhh, now here's the cowardly but smart way to deal with all those damned barrels - a hidden rocket launcher! Take the rocket launcher, stand back against the wall in here, and fire a rocket into the area where the barrels are. The splash damage from the rocket's explosion should set all the barrels off, and at a safe enough distance so as not to hurt you! 4. The bronze key is here, but you'll have to fight for it as it's heavily defended. Use your brains - when you first alert the enemies in this room, run back to point 2 and throw the switch ... the nice fireballs will roast your enemies as they come pouring out :) Oh and you'll see the blood key in here behind a grille, but you won't be able to access it just yet ... 5. The bronze key will allow you to access this room where there's a wall switch - throw it, and a remote pushwall will slide open to make the blood key accessible. 6. Return to this point where you found the bronze key before, and you'll find the blood key is now accessible. Oh and those annoying clones you'll encounter were hidden in this area - it's a right pain finding enemies in places you thought were now safe isn't it? :) 7. Make your way to this door unlocked by the blood key through this dangerous corridor carefully. If you are feeling like taking on the rocket turrets, then there's some very nice goodies to reward you, including some hidden ammo supplies of rockets and MCS ammo, an MCS Mk 4, and even an Artefact of Invulnerability! 8. Make your way through the prison complex to this point here where you'll find an Artefact of Displacement. Hop in, and to the great outdoors you'll go. 9. Move carefully through the outdoors area here watching for suicide clones, guards taking potshots at you from both sides, and landmines. 10. Eliminate the SS in here and the gold key is yours! 11. Jump into the Artefact of Displacement here, and you'll be back at point 8. 12. Back through the prison complex to the door the gold key will unlock here. All's quiet, so throw the switch behind the door to your right (as you open the locked door). 13. Throwing that switch will open up this area, and you'll be able to grab the elevator key here. Just don't get blown up by the suicide clones in the process. 14. You can take the exit to the next level here if you wish, or you could check out what's behind those doors adjacent to the elevator door. There's a nice Artefact of Regeneration to be found in there. 15. And if you search the walls for secrets, here's the way to the second secret level! |
